Learning Goals for Art History Majors

STUDENT LEARNING GOALS for our UNDERGRADUATE MAJORS

At the completion of their undergraduate program, Art History majors should be able to:

1.  describe and analyze works of art and architecture, taking into account form, function, and meaning.

2.  recognize and interpret a wide range of artistic traditions and cultural monuments, as well as to situate them in chronological order.

3.  write a research paper combining primary and secondary sources into a persuasive argument.
