The Architecture Club
The Architecture Club (TAC) seeks to promote the appreciation of architecture and urban design, provide opportunities to explore various facets of these design disciplines, and to foster an active creative community on Emory's campus. TAC brings together students from a number of fields who are interested in architecture; many are pursuing the Architectural Studies Minor in the Art History department. Field trips to architectural firms in Atlanta and buildings or exhibitions of interest, as well as to lectures at Georgia Tech, are regularly scheduled, as are discussion sessions, film screenings, and guest speakers, often Emory Alums working as architects in the Atlanta area. In the fall, there is usually a presentation by Emory students who have participated in the Harvard Career Discovery Program or the Columbia Introduction to Architecture course over the summer. This year, students in the club plan to design and construct a small, occupiable installation on the Emory campus. All are welcome!
