Visual Resources Library

The Visual Resources Library provides support for the teaching and production of art history through digital technologies. We create digital images and platforms for use in teaching and research by faculty, staff, and students at Emory University.

The library began as a slide collection in the 1960s and has grown into a digital library that reflects the teaching and research interests of the Art History Department. Many of the images are unique and were photographed by faculty during their research or fieldwork.

The Art History Department is also the home of MAP IT: Little Dots, Big Ideas. MAP IT hosts lectures focused on spatial art history and explores how digital technologies have helped push forward the study of art, architecture, and history.

Images are provided to faculty, students and staff of Emory University for educational purposes only.
